Great sounding pressing!
While not made with the same stampers as the original release, like I’d heard some Fame reissues are, this made for a dynamic, lively and engaging listen.
Take particular note of the low end synth parts on this record, the pulsing at the beginning of “Horizons” and the atmospheric sounds at the start of “Giant” are definitely felt here. Bass is solid, and all percussion from the thump of the kick to the gentlest tap of the hi-hat is well represented.
I don’t know how it compares to an original 1980 gatefold pressing (which I’d like to track down to have the lyrics on the inside), but this one sounds plenty good!
