Track 2A is stronger than 1A, though this tune is still probably not as good as you thought it was, and getting the intern to do the pre-breakdown piano chord progression on 2A was a mistake.

Track 2B, which is not a remix of Insanity, is a nice little track - a joyous piano break set into a melancholic song. Kind of the musical equivalent of cranking*

    *Crying and yet wanking

This encapsulated the spirit of 91 in North Wales and I presume parts of North West England like Wirral, Cheshire, Liverpool and the hinterlands of Lancashire. Pure MDMA fueled joy with some mad bird giving it very cheesy Kate Bush for the 90s and blissful piano madness. Excellent and essential rave tune.

Flash Bandicoot is right about this record. You were either there or you were not. Before this went into the charts and thus had noses turned up about it by nearly every oldskool DJ this tune was a banger. Dropped as the last tune in Clubs week after week early 91, white labels or promos possibly. But the Rave clubs went mental to this beast.
In my mind its still a tune as i all those fridays at the Carlton and other places. A special record for sure!

Reality is a quirky, slightly Vince Clark-gone-rave little piano B side. Rather good too.

Unless you were there you are not going to understand. This is a personal point of view that hundreds might relate to.Oceanic`s "insanity" is no masterpiece. To many its as cheesy as 2 Unlimited`s "get ready for this".I know dj`s who would`nt dream of putting the track in their old skool set.Your aunties have thrown their bags into the ring and danced to it at weddings but "This is rave" i`ll explain. There is no deep meaning to the song in which you are supposed analyze. Its basically something to go mental to on drugs lets face it.Its a light hearted sort of anarchy. You couldn`t care less if she had a crazy fever burning in her soul you wanted to be taken to insanity for a night before going back to whatever it was you came from.It just said go for it.Its not about the song its about the time.Maybe its just a northern thing but this cheesy record will always be a bit special
