Sounds great to me, bass response ie excellent. Vinyl is also dead quiet and both discs are flat as pancakes.

Edited 4 years agoSo on my copy, which came with the army green hype sticker and colored labels, there are two different Matrix / Runouts.
Record 1: Matrix / Runout (Etched Side A): 697-124-123-1R1-A 2 MASTERDISK JD
Matrix / Runout (Etched Side B): 697-124-123-1R1-B MASTERDISK JD.
Record 2: Matrix / Runout (Runout side C etched): 697-124-123-1 C RE-1 F/W RCE HUBTV
Matrix / Runout (Runout side D etched): 697-124-123-1 D RE-1 2 HUBTV
Anybody else have this version? According to the info, I have one original press, and one repress. Is that even possible?

God, i was so afraid i had the B2B pressing (i can't if had a sticker on it or not)... especially when i had trouble playing the record on my turntable.
I also got afraid when i saw the black labels... then i've learned a bit more about this 2002 reissue, and i felt relieved because i hate those scams B2B is pulling out most of the time!
Now it's fixed and i can tell it sounds pretty good. -
Concur with most people here. Going off the matrix runout and the black labels, that would signify the 2002 edition.

I agree with crock7. The version i have has the black labels instead of green and yellow and i bought it in the States back around 2002, most likely at a Virgin Megastore, i can't exactly but i've had it awhile. I came on here (discogs) to see what version i had and was confused to see that Discogs couldn't tell me when it was released based on the matrix runout on this reissue being the same as the original. I believe that the 2002 reissue has black labels, matte finish, all that stuff just like steamybrown2003 said and the photos on here show the labels from the original. Thanks for the info btw.

I agree with what has been said by steamybrown2003 but would like to add that my heat sealed copy of the 2002 version did not have a hype-sticker. Main sleeve is matte, as previously mentioned. Black labels. Mastering is great.

Edited 9 years agoWhat distinguishes this reissue from the original 1996 pressing? I understand that the original pressing was distributed by FFRR in the U.S. while the 2002 reissue was distributed in the US by A&M. That said, the photos ed on Discogs for both releases are identical. I've pored over them and can't find a single detail on the cover, inner sleeve or label that differs between them.
From what I've read online, it seems like the reissue with the "unknown" release date (with black labels instead of green and yellow labels) is actually the 2002 reissue and the photos provided for the 2002 reissue here are actually photos of the original pressing.
All I'd like to do is distinguish the 2002 from the 1996 (ideally, without having to use the original green sticker that came on the 1996 pressing).
