Apparently all copies suffer from inferior vinyl quality and play poorly, like they play VG even if the record is new /Mint.
Does anyone have a copy that doesn't sound like crap...? -
Edited 19 years agoNot many were made of this one from what I recall.
The inclusion of Another live version from the superior second disc of the Assassin single is what makes this release absolutely worth finding.
For the dj, this is heavy material and will freak at least one person out if you get a chance to drop it in a session.
Skip the Oasis of Rhythms mix. It's adequately psychedelic. It does its things over 15 some odd minutes. It grows and expands like an Orb song tacked onto a four on the floor beat.
But, with an Orb live mix on the other side, on vinyl. It's kind of like. Why bother with it? You really want the live mix. It's completely psychedelic. It is dark and meaty in the right ways at the beginning. It grows, it swerves, it floats, it's got a clock ringing and all the things that made the Orb special. And you don't have to be vertically challenged to dance to it like so much of the Orb's other stuff.
You're a disc jockey? What's that?
