The gold effect on the jacket and the poly lined inner sleeve were really nice touches. The disc is thick and came relatively clean with a few rubs and scuffs that were not audible. The sound quality itself is great, personally I feel that the mastering is better than streaming on the vinyl pressing, and my copy is silent surface noise wise except for a few isolated spots in the beginning of each side and a handful of isolated light pops which I feel might be more due to how staticky my disc was both out of the sleeve and after a wet cleaning. Overall though, it’s a phenomenal album, a really enjoyable listen and sounds great on my system. Well worth it for under $20 from Secretly.

Edited 3 years agoMy copy arrived with an absolutely fucked up inner sleeve- the plastic inside was almost completely torn! I had to buy a replacement sleeve...
In sound, it sounds about the same as Bury Me at Makeout Creek does on vinyl; very good mixing and mastering done to make the vocals stand out. -
I wish "My Body's Made Of Crushed Little Stars" was longer. Such a good tune, even just another minute. Anyway.
-
my pressing seems to have a bit of a problem with the hole in the middle because it goes on very stiffly and doesnt slide on

Definitely not the worst sounding record in my collection, but it does leave me wanting more. Compared this directly with the digital version and it's about the same, maybe slightly better in some spots. Such a dynamic sounding album but I'll agree the vinyl mastering isn't great.
Still worth it, though, the music itself is perfect. -
ok this is ironically enough one of my favorite records of all time however the worst sounding vinyl on my collection, flat, quiet as fuck, no dynamics and no bass, voice is also distorted ...

Bought two copies of this album from Newbury Comics. Both of them have the same manufacturing defect at the beginning of side two.
