I grew up with this CD and know the music like the back of my hand. This pressing smokes my CD. Dynamics, frequency range, detail, stereo imaging, are all superior. This record was never a go to for sonics for back when this came out; I'd certainly say this record was well recorded and mixed. Super happy to own this masterpiece!

It's a good pressing, but there's a typo: "Fate in the sky" instead of "Face in the sky" on the back sleeve.

One of my favorite metal albums and it sounds great here. Very quiet and clean pressing, consistent quality of the other MOV LPs in my collection.

Not a bad pressing. I'd have to directly compare it to the original cd to make a better judgement, but if my memory serves me correctly the CD release sounds a bit better than this. With that being said, it's a thrash album so the high end gets pretty rough on the ears from time to time, regardless of format or pressing. It's not meant to be pretty.
When the guitar gets most loud and prominent in the mix it really seems to clutter everything up, another aspect which I'll have to compare to the cd (I'm guessing it's the same there too). Hmmm, what else do I have to say. It's quite crankable, you can really get this guy going and blast your ears. To get the low end, mainly the bass drum, to start thumping, you really need to play it loud. Even at a high volume, it's a bit hidden, so keep cranking for full effect.
I've previously read many complaints about MOV's cover reproduction being poor quality, looking like blown up CD's. Frankly, I don't notice it on this one. That's likely (or partially) due to the fact that the cover artwork is a dark-colored painting, so you can't point out imperfections as easily. I think it looks fabulous. I love CDs and vinyl, but the beautiful blown-up cover artwork really makes the release worth it. If anything, the back-cover reproduction may be a bit janky. Love that they included the insert, and the old school Atlantic center labels look dope.
Well then, that's my thoughts, if you are considering purchasing this, just do it. It's relatively cheap and even if it doesn't sound perfect, it looks great.

          4/5 stars for the pressing
probably 5/5 or so for the music. killer shit
