(I compare this album to tectonic shifts of matter and visionary participles that are folded-in unlike the horrendous in-your-face sound we have now.) Beyond future bands that unroll their gutting of sound and denial of the sound itself.. after this album's finale is what confuses me some times as to why metal has gotten worse in recent times... keep the sound mic'd and boxed in hopefully with all the processors and all-in-one units used with cabinets, no excuse to stop experimenting. Sorry for piss poor review BTW!~

Really happy I have this pressing but it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. I give like a solid C. But more than happy to have the only pressing that was pressed in the 90’s. I wonder how it stacks to the reissues

Great record and great sounding pressing. Influences by Nu-Metal but its still thrash metal to its core. They should have a second disc with the 13 minute jam in the Brazilian forest.

Yes Arise is a thrash classic and sure Chaos A.D paved the way but Roots is just an amalgamation of everything they had done before with a very modern twist. This isn't nu-metal though, this is just heavy!
