Reviews

My copy sounds absolutely fantastic, I typically listen to this once a year in full. Sad to hear other peoples mishaps.
-
The Cape White one starts a little bit noisy and off-center... but only at the start of each sides. The blue one looks and sounds amazing. The shaped one sounds 3/5, and I feel like the mastering is good but the sound quality is not that great, maybe it's because of the fact that it's overall a demo.
-
I don’t think my pressing sounds as bad as some people have been describing except for side D where there were a fair amount of pops and cracks. Overall it’s still an enjoyable listen.
-
Edited 2 years agoAwful pressing. Side C is particularly bad--warped and extremely off-center. A shame since it looks great, but much happier with the KPG repress.
-
-
Edited 5 years agoAwful sounding pressing. The highs are harsh and distorted and the lows lack depth. The overall sound is grainy and fatiguing
-
Edited 8 years agoI have both the early repress mastered by Kevin Gray and this one and the KG repress is richer and with more texture. The bells ring out more and Sufjan draws me in more. This pressing isn't bad, though it's way more poppy than my first pressing and I cleaned both with an ultrasonic cleaner.
-
Anyone else having problems with the side 2 label overlapping the runout groove? I bought two at my local record shop and on both the runout groove dipped into the label.
