GLASS HOUSES might be a five-star album in my book were it not for the utterly pretentious "C'Etait Toi (You Were The One)". As it is, it's a great album with one craptastic song. If memory serves, Joel was fed up with critics saying he couldn't rock out, hence he tries to rock out a bit more on tracks such as "Close To The Borderline" and "It's Still Rock And Roll To Me". "Sometimes A Fantasy" is one of his more underrated songs. This pressing sounds pretty good, with a punchy, beefy mix, crisp drums and guitars, and well defined keyboards and vocals. My copy plays nice and clean with occasional faint surface noise.

Picked this up at a local shop used but M/NM, really great sound. Quiet and punchy. A mass produced, 'normal' pressing from decades ago with quality sound like this really stands in contrast to/exposes the slapdash nature of wide swaths of contemporary vinyl production.
