After buying two later pressings that both had manufacturing defects, I finally managed to get hold of a copy of this one and it plays great. Much less sibilance compared to those two later pressings as well (from what I was able to listen to from them, anyway).

Other than a small bump defect at the beginning of side 2, this album sounds very nice. The dynamics are great and the bass response is huge. If anyone could recommend what they think the definitive version of this record is, I would really appreciate it. I had a copy of the 2008 DMM 2xLP pressing but it was covered in clicks.

Lousy, very lousy reissue. Clicks, pops, sibilance on many songs, dynamics are mediocre (but it's a long album anyway, there is a price to pay for that). The surface noise is low though, no background garbage. The packaging is very nice too, no complaints there.
Maybe a thorough cleaning will bring it to life, but out of the box it's quite disappointing.
The album is magical, as always.
