My recently purchased copy on Amazon had some serious issues - very low volume, and when turned up the surface noise is really significant and the music seems sort of weirdly muffled. The runouts and so on match this version but it's not clear how old it is.

Had my copy since 2015. Sounds great and one of the essential pop albums to have in your collection if that’s your thing. Fav tracks are the title track, gimmie love, let’s get lost. Run away with me also, but I think that one is implied.

I just ordered this new at retail. Runouts seem to be the same, but I'm doubtful that it was pressed back in 2015. Is it worth creating a new Discogs entry if it's completely indistinguishable from the 2015 pressing?

Edited 3 years agoI've had this record since it came out from her web store. This is seriously one of the only records that has constantly stayed on rotation for the last 5+ years. I'm listening to this on a Fluance Hi-Ref TT with some headphones and all I can say is, "Godham b'oua" #Channel5News

Good mastering for a modern pop record, however, a typical pressing from United Record Pressing, riddled with surface noise and pops (after a cleaning).
Here's an audio sample from a needle drop:
A1 - "Run Away with Me".wav
VPI HW-16.5 > VPI Classic 2 SE > VPI JMW-10.5i > Dynavector DV-20X2H > McIntosh MA6300 > Audacity > WAV -
The copy I got had a lot of surface noise and pops. Runaway with Me was skipping and upon checking the record had a speck of silver colored dust.

Edited 6 years agoDon't let the lightweight vinyl fool you (probably just 125 grams). This is one superb-sounding record! I was surprised at how full, rich and expressive it sounded. Great mastering and pressing for this unjustly underrated pop album.

Edited 7 years agoI expected a rushed, half-assed pressing of this album due to the vinyl craze, but thankfully that wasn't the case. This record sounds fantastic.
Also, why is this going for 40 bucks on here when it's in stock on Amazon for 20?
