1st issue (pressing) Matrix is BNLP 4003-A and BNLP 4003-B (If it has a A-1 it is a second issue).

This 1st original mono issue:
- Deep groove labels with 47 West 63rd St. address
- No INC. and no ® under the E of 'Blue Note'
- Laminated front cover
- 'Blue Note Records' is set in a serif font with no INC. on the back
- Runouts are etched aside from the "P" or "ear" symbol for Plastylite and "RVG" which are stamped

Note for 2nd pressing:
- Labels are exactly the same as 1st pressing
- Back cover has INC. with 'Blue Note Records Inc.' set in a bold, sans serif font

    Confused as to why this still hasn't been updated to reflect the accurate side A matrix for a first press (or at least have the correct matrix added as a variant):

      So, does the "second pressing" deserve a unique listing? I've the original labels (no "inc"), but the jacket rear has the "bold" font at the bottom.

        Notes says "- Back cover does have INC. and 'Blue Note Records Inc.' is set in a bold, sans serif font" but pics show that it does NOT have INC on back.

          VG+ copies typically $3-400. So why do all of the sellers now want $1K and up??? So tired of the price gouging. Makes collecting records feel like a chore.

            Got a very marked version of this yesterday - and despite the almost continuous pop and crackle it simply blows away the latest classic series remaster. Maybe they should do some of the classic series in mono!
