After a purchase on this very site discogs I note that the cd’s are traditional silver not gold. Is this suffice to indicate that I have purchased a copy of some kind ?…Any comments welcomed.

I am the only person that thinks the CD-size book and covers should have been redesigned? The 12” vinyl lay-outs have simply been shrunk making the albums’ inner sleeves especially difficult to read. The booklet isn't much better to be honest. This applies to the entire first three box-sets (no idea about the latter two).

i got this box set over 5 years ago when it was released, this was bowies BEST period in my opinion!! i like some of the stuff he did for the rest of the 1970s and even into the early 80s as well as 1964 to 67 before he formed the band that would do space oddity in 68, anyway this box set is so well put together and the remastering on all cds sounds great!!!!! the re call disc is fantastic & one of my favorite bass players was with him through this peroid ( the late trevor boulder) anyway great stuff & fantastic packaging........

Great presentation and excellent remastering, as far as the CD box set is concerned. I 've heard that there are issues with the Vinyl box set recordings....
This is how all box sets should be put together.
For me, the outstanding value in this box set are the non-album versions contained in the "Re:Call 1" discs!
A real piece of crucial rock and roll history from the chameleon of rock and roll. -
Does anybody know if all the official prints have golden playing surface? Are there versions with the usual silver?
