The Sacrifice was a game changer for the Hardstyle world. Back in the days it was played everytime at every event (often more than once). It was the starting point of the rise of Headhunterz thanks to the help of The Prophet ; probably the most iconic moment was when they played it together at Qlimax 2006. It marked the arrival of the "new" Hardstyle, with pitch-changing kicks, more melody-focused and "anthemic". -
I buying two copies of this and kept one mint because i knew that it would become a classic. The 15yo me wasn't wrong! :P

This was the very first release of Headhunterz I ever heard and now 4 years on I cant stop listening to him! Old school Hardstyle now an absolute classic!

Edited 18 years agoThis record is pure sex. The Prophet was right about contracting these guys, they are brilliant! The Sacrifice has some well-known vocals 'In Nomine Patri, Et Filli, Et Spiritus Sancti' (In Name Of The Father, The Son And The Holy Spirit), and has a good melody & choir, but however great it will be, D-Tuned still sures it by far. It is an altered version of 'Nasty D-Tuners - Nasty Anthem' (which, believe it or not, was even slightly better). It has a brilliant melody, addicting vocals, and a perfect kick & bassline. It is absolutely true, the Headhunterz bring you melody!
