My 1979 pressing is a PC2 (variant 1 - https://discogs.versitio.com/release/1203086-Pink-Floyd-The-Wall) yet it seems my side D (deadwax) is from this one (variant 1 as well) .....
I'm just trying to finally identify what I have ..... I've never bothered hunting down a different pressing of this as the one I own sounds great. Sounds very nice cranked LOUD too. Dynamic with solid bass. -
Edited one year agoGot one with grooves preserved by what must have been half a century of tobacco resin. Thing was dirty, still going to get it a few cleans, but the music is already coming through very beautifully and cleanly. Though I can't speak for other pressings, there are things I am hearing on this record I haven't heard in all my years of listening to this album on different media.

This XPC2 (export edition) is not as good as the regular PC2 issue. Nowhere near the dynamics and bottom end slam. Drums suffer compared to the PC2.

Edited 2 years agoThis Canadian edition sounds really good, and I have editions from Scandinavia, , Holland, too. I love them all and all of them are different in its way, but this Canadian edition is maybe on the top of them all? The edition from Holland is more soft then all others and sounds really beautiful. The German and Scandinavian editions are more fresh and sounds beautiful too on theirs way, but this Canadian edition is somehow all of them at ones. You can not made mistake with this edition of the Wall.
