My girlfriend bought this album to listen to on my rig. I must say I’m not a fan but it sounds impressive especially after I swapped for more appropriate speakers. I don’t understand the fuss.

My copy came with two Side B labels but thankfully the proper actual pressing

Sounds fantastic and it’s a killer record all the way through

In keeping with the retro Stax sound, this recording is pretty compressed. It's part of the plan though, not brickwalling.
(Rega RP6 with Ortofon black cart through McIntosh MA5200 amp & Axiom M60 v2 speakers.)

            TLDR: awesome!

Fresh out of the the paper throwaway sleeve (also, if you are going to toss the paper sleeve just rip it away off the record like unwrapping a present - no extra scuffs from removing the record through it) it was super linty and staticky. Gave it a couple swipes with the sticky roller and a blast with the plasma lighter to kill the static and spun it up, plays like a dream. Almost dead silent between tracks and the pressing is very punchy and dynamic. Nice to not have to crank up the amp to even hear if it’s playing for a change!

Sounds beautiful to me. Side B is especially amazing. Excellent pressing.

Found this pressing today at a local Walmart. $23. Date code on the upc sticker on back of sleeve is 2015. Felt heavy when I took it out of sleeve, which is a junk paper scuff maker. Before cleaning and putting it into a mfsl sleeve I weighed it. Came in at 196g!!! Thought it felt heavy! After a clean and vacuum put it on not expecting much per some reviews. Sounds fine though, a product of its making. You have to keep in mind that this is made/recorded to sound "vintage". From the mics, to the console, to the recording techniques. Sounds like a vintage soul/Stax album. Don't purchase it expecting it to come out of the speakers like a Steely Dan or Supertramp record and I think you will be happy. Fantastic songs and feel throughout all the tunes. No excessive noise on my copy. ymmv.

Sounds fantastic to me. Has a great punchy vintage Stax vibe to it as it should! Ignore the bad reviews and just give it a good cleaning and you should be good!

Played right out of the sleeve, static and crackles in abundance. Ran it through the Spin Clean and now it’s excellent!

This is by far the worst sounding record I have ever heard. It is shame, because it does have very good songs. It sounds like bad karaoke. Just an awful recording
