Edited 6 years agoBeware anyone purchasing this UK laminate cover pressing with a large vertigo swirl label, as these two facts were never issued together. All large vertigo swirl labels came with a matte or semi matte cover, and all laminate covers came with the small vertigo label and then the spaceship label. I keep seeing dodgy sellers on eBay claiming this “version” is rare.......rare as in it never existed! My family have been in the record industry for over 50 years but don’t take my word for it, do the research and you will see.....plus it just doesn’t make sense to do a matte, then laminate, the matte again, then again laminate covers. The only way you can get this version is if you combined two separate copies (large swirl label with a later issued laminate cover). Also don’t go by the dated inner swirl sleeves as “proof” of a first press as these can be purchased with any vertigo album from that time, and vertigo didn’t change the dates on their inner sleeves for at least 3 to 4 months after an issue (this is also a fact).
