My copy is flat, quiet, and super quiet. Next level mastering to vinyl; soundstage is holographic making it easy to pick out location of the instruments and vocals in the mix. Whatever "audiophile" means to any listener this pressing will satisfy most definitions. It is a shame Nautilus is no longer in operation...we could always use quality like this in modern pressings.

While I do not have other versions to compare with, this nautilus is certainly a superb pressing. The dynamics here are impressive, especially Copeland’s drums. “Spirits in the Material World” sounds so real you could very well forget it’s a record. Very underrated and a steal considering the price. It’s a no brainer if you’re a Police fan.

I don't have an original to compare to, but this is one of the best sounding vinyl I have! So well balanced with dynamics, airiness, separation, full range. I like this Nautilus pressing better than the Nautilus pressing of Zenyatta Mondatta. ZM version is a bit thinner with more emphasis on the percussion and highs, whereas the balance on this Ghost is superb and more amazing to listen through. Sounds like you are there!

despite what most say about nautilus pressings, this one seems to act differently. it's really an interesting outlier, as it sounds great. vinyl is nice and about as silent as they could come back then too.

Surprised no one has reviewed this release yet. I did a comparison between this Nautilus pressing, the 1981 Electrosound pressing, and the 2018 half speed master from the Every Move You Make box set. The 2018 version is easily the weakest, and the Nautilus is the pretty clear winner. "Spirits In The Material World" and "Invisible Sun" in particular are much more dynamic on this one. The Electrosound version is impressive in its own right-- "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" sounds basically identical on the Nautilus one. Overall this is the version to have.
