One thing I consistently thought upon discovering Scorn is that Mick Harris's proficiency with drum programming and break chopping would carry over perfectly to Drum & Bass. I was correct. Quiot is Mick Harris's dark, heavy DnB project. Properties is slam full of clanging breakbeats, harrowing basslines, and brooding samples. Quiot carries Mick Harris's talent with his Illbient work over perfectly to make for absolutely menacing Techstep that sounds nothing like anything else that was being produced at the time.
