Edited one year agoDoes anyone here know how the 2022(non picture) sounds compared to the latest 2023? I've only heard this album on the original CD, but I no longer have a CD player. So I want this on vinyl, but the original is a bit pricey.

I have this original UK version from 1992, bought at the time and it sounds much better than this new version

Looking through my Dads record collection and just found his copy of this mint condition never played.
-
Dont buy this absurd price. November Rsd has the picture disc and one week later the black one coming. 30bucks.

fun fact: "friday i'm in love" is out of tune. its pitch is a notch too high. i used to play to the album on my guitar, tuned to the A notes of "apart". you can accompany the whole album with that tuning, except for "friday".
in case you ever wondered why that particular track sounds so very uplifting, psychoacoustics might very well play a role here.
you're welcome ;) -
For those who prayed for a 30th anniversary reissue, thank you, pre orders just launched on The Cure’s webstore.
