I got this dirt cheap on Amazon, I don't really understand what all the noise is about that it "sounds horrible".......sounds fine to me. I wish I still had my OG copy of this to compare, long sold........but who knew. Other than that, pretty quiet between tracks, the vocals are really crisp.

Haven’t played this one in a long time. My system is much better and this sounds much worse. As someone else said, very tinny. Shame
-
Not that this mastering engineer is infallible, but usually Kevin Gray is dependable for at least good sound. Going to have to purchase and check this out. Ill be back...

Awful mastering, like listening to FM radio station. I eventually returned it. As pyrhix I also questioned the health of my sound system.

Edited 4 years agoLots of review about how bad this sounds....very surprised I've spun mine a few times now (after one cleaning) and I'm not catching it. Especially during songs like "Bad Habit" where there's spoken words I'd expect to hear popping and hissing and I don't hear anything. Maybe I got lucky or maybe I'm commenting on a different version (I have black vinyl with digital remaster sticker) or a reissue or something....Took a shot for $20 and all good here...

It sounds bad, very tinny, i thought my needle was broken, is this what happens when the audio is mixed too loudly?

Edited 8 years agoI have different inscription in my LP:
THE OFFSRPING - SMASH 86868-1 R1 2016 A
THE OFFSRPING - SMASH 86868-1 R1 2016 B
Is the same version or a new 2016 version?
The sound is ok, not really the same than my CD...but Not bad..More vocal sound than cd..much bass...
Anyway, this is not a Vivaldi classic LP....lol....but punk music...the difference of sound is not really important for this Reissue.
The remaster of this album is for my "Good" ! -
Is this actually a black copy? I thought it was only orange and red in the reissue. Can you add a picture of the vinyl.
