    I lived in Monterey, California for five years and my work AND home were less than a mile to the Fairgrounds by the airport where they held the Monterey Jazz Festival...Years earlier they held the festival in Carmel By The Sea at the Sunset School and that is where they recorded this LP with Erroll Garner clear back in 1956...Even with some decades old noise on the wax the sounds coming out of my stereo are so, so fine...This Columbia album has been a TOP selling jazz records for decades and with good reason...The boys are tight, the tunes are mighty nice, and Mr. Garner knows how to hit those "88's"...Good stuff here Maynard...
