This is one of my favourite albums ever. This particular pressing is fantastic. Even after all these years it still sounds amazing. This is one of my albums I will never part with. Buy this is you come across it......absolute classic.

Edited 2 years agoSomething isn't fully sorted here about which one is the true original Press? My 93' version of this LP has this exact label -with the discs center label rim text on bottom- and all the other features of this pressing, but matrix has the crossed out "blurb" as on this other 93' press, "PJ Harvey - Rid Of Me". -Mine also has this same die cut sleeve but no poster. ...Sounds Fantastic, bought this record personally in 93', has a small "Made in England" sticker on the back, center.

I was able to A/B this U.K. version with the 2021 reissue and I concur with others in saying that this one has slightly more edge and wider dynamic range. The reissue is still very impressive and close to the original which I really like, It’s just slightly lacking in the high end with boosted bass which IMO detracts from the intense and abrasive nature of the recording. I have also heard that the OG CD is very good too.

I own the 1993 original and the 2020 reissue and must conclude that the original sounds better. More dynamics, clearer and tighter bass. Same conclusion as for the other reissues from that date.

I have the 1993 cd, the 2020 reissue, but o still prefer the original. CD is really good, but a little harsh, the 2020 is also good, but something is missing comparing the original press IMO; you can hear it in softer ages and in the reachness of the guitar's harmonics.

My record (pressed in 1993) has no matrix information....none. Both the A and B matrix's are void of anything. Hmmmmmm.

So glad I held off on buying the original pressing for Dry & Rid of Me lol. Almost pulled the trigger multiple times to the tune of $150.00 to $200.00 for each at various times. Playing the Dry Demo resissue now as I type this. Sounds great. Dry will be deliverd tomorrow with Rid of Me and 4-Track Demos comoing in about a month. Very happy camper right now.
