This is all kinds of wonderful
Who could’ve predicted that the sun ain’t gonna shine anymore would lead to this ? I’m a big fan of both scott and Sunn O))) seen the latter a few times and would’ve loved to have experienced them perform this . An amazing piece -
-
Does it annoy anyone else that two of the tracks are in a different order to the digital version?
That would seem to be the 'proper' order, with the songs switched here so they would fit better on a record, even though a side has been left blank.

Edited 6 years agoMy copy is exactly as described here, but the letters and O))) logo in the inside of the gatefold are gray instead of red.
Update: SOMA confirmed that this was a misprint that was retired after about 500 copies. Check it here: Scott Walker + Sunn O))) - Soused . The red print is the "general" version
Favourite track: Lullaby -
Absolutely love this record. Only issue is that the cover is oversized and doesn't fit into my shelf. Out of nearly 500 records, this is the only one that's too big.

I listened to this once and hated it, but Walker's "whippoorwill" would just pop into my head from time to time. Now I kind of love it.

Edited 9 years agoThis album is actually very, very amusing and comical. A true piece of (f)art.
File next to Arcesia's Reachin' LP, except that the latter one is significantly more "enjoyable". -

Edited 10 years agoWorst piece of "music" I've heard in years. Makes me wanna puke. Walkers voice just kills it. I'm a Sunn O))) fan though, maybe it's just not fair to rate it that way. But man ... that voice -.-

Great album! The doom drone sound of Sunn goes great with Walker's vocals better than his usual music. Favorite album of 2014.
