Edited 8 months agoThis pressing is incredible, I bought it at the now defunct Rasputin Music in San Francisco's Union Square when it came out. I am very anxious to hear the quality of the 10 year anniversary release since they are putting 5-6 songs per side. Hope they've been really thoughtful with the pressing.

Edited 2 years agoI've been roundabout introduced to Odesza due to their album "The Last Goodbye". While pre ordering that one, I thought I'd pick up these also. So so glad I did, what beautiful music, really innocent, and unique, can't really think of another band that fits this feeling. It's very eclectic and uplifting, stunning soundscapes. The pressing is superb, playing quite loud the soundstage is impressive, the range and dynamics also are very good. All in all absolutely fantastic.
My only complaint if I'm being really picky is there's a little more surface noise than on some other copies, but that is being a bit over the top.
But my God, Zyra's voice particularly in "It's Only" is just absolutely mesmerizing. But their choices for guest singers is absolutely stellar throughout all the albums quite frankly.
Fantastic album and pressing. That's the thing, hardly anyone does it to this level of exactness, everything is just top notch. -
Fantastic pressing, silent and dynamic. My only complaint is that some early tracks seem slightly quiet (seems like they wanted maximum kick drum) but it sounds excellent, and most of sides B-D sound perfect. Garbage paper sleeves go right in the trash (save the code though) but that's par for most releases so no points off (I think of them as temporary shipping sleeves). Music that often incorporates lots of intentional noise as an effect (especially It's Only) absolutely has to be pressed right so you know you're hearing what's intended instead of vinyl noise or else it drives you mad... no issues here and you can listen with confidence. Super sturdy and flat heavyweight vinyl, amazon couldn't even eff it up in transit. Also extremely low static for a fresh-from-the-package LP, despite the paper sleeves, which is notable.
For music that had to be created on a DAW, this pressing is a great example of how even high-quality digital to well-mastered vinyl sures CDs and typical mp3/stream quality (it's not just for analog, folks). Think SACD quality or DSD.
Best I've heard one of my all-time favorite albums of any genre. Extremely pleased. -
Quintessential molly girl music. One of the best sounding LP's on my shelves. Pairs very well with a nice sub.

Edited 9 years agoNo, no, no, not just "quality.." PHENOMENAL PRESSING! Not a single scratch or pop! It's a little on the pricey side but totally worth the buy.
