This record is musically so fine and so long that this justifies an audiophile pressing on four sides, probably even in 45rpm. The re-issues with three sides seem to be a compromise that makes some happy but others not. See the commentaries below. This is why I hesitate to buy the three-sided re-issue.
Dear record companies, please consider pressing this album on four sides of 2LPs! Thank you. -
They recorded "Time Fades Away" to digital , at a higher resolution 20 years before.. how could they do such a thing to this album with 16/44 ... ?? Did they use a Sony PCM as well ? I'm not going to bother unless I see it for $2 in a few years.
