Keel press (to my ears) hits a bit harder than this one, but this pressing makes up for it with a remarkably well-balanced and wide presentation. This certainly has a case to be the definitive pressing.

stellar pressing. Wide soundstage and warm sound throughout the record. I have 3 different pressings of this record, and this is my favorite.

Great sound! I happen to have one from when I started collecting about a decade ago. Cleaned it with a Vinyl Vac and played it on my new RT 85/2M Blue. Fantastic pressing, supposedly the 2006 cisco is the best according to The In Groove on YouTube. Either way, sounds great and maybe the best version I have heard so far!!!

Edited 4 years agoThe masterpiece by Steely Dan...not my fave but no doubt the height of their career. Goucho would follow and attempt to continue a logical trajectory and it worked albeit at the sacrifice of their very existence. 3 songs were a girls name, 1 song was the greatest jazz/rock track ever devised. But the greatest achievement of SD's career was Deacon Blue....one of the very few songs that came from Fagen's heart and in every way created the snowcapped mountain of their career. I like Goucho much better actually but their ain't no Deacon Blue there or anywhere else in pop music. I have this AB-1006, the finest pressing and best sounding version of Aja. N

Edited 6 years agoThis is one of the best original 1st pressings. According to the Hoffman vinyl threads this pressing with the AB1006 (re-3) -A and (re2 or re3) -B on the flip is the definitive original pressing to buy! Avoid all AA pressings. Not as good as the AB. Do your research.
