I'll keep listening in the hope that it'll 'click' but only because of the praise I consistently hear regarding it. Honestly, right now, I think this album sounds over-long, samey and fairly amateur. There are certainly moments I enjoy, but nothing that truly wows me. This is my first venture into Modest Mouse's music - is it just not for me or should I try somewhere else in their discography?

Yeah, that's cool and all, but where's the 2xLP repress? Are the pressing plates still lost? Come on already! We don't all have $300 to drop on an original Up Records pressing, but I'm sure I speak for a lot of people when I say that I really want to hear this masterpiece on vinyl. Hopefully we'll see a reissue very soon. I'm really looking forward to it!
