Who did the great splash rhythm on "malay" and where is it recorded?
    Is this an unimportent information??

Call it Fourth World, call it proto-glitch or atavistic abstract techno post-math un-rock for that matter, this album shows that as the labels fall away there is indeed (mostly) nothing (quite) new under the Sun.
Kudos to those who groked this album back in 1981 as it was as out there and beyond as it came, at the dawn of that decade.
Definitely a work of art in that it takes a generation or so for a wider appraisal to occur.

Unlike anything you will ever hear. The album's concept and story is as original and breathtaking as the sounds it contains.

Been listening to this for decades occasionally, but need to be in a contemplative mood to approach it. It is subtle, deep, rich & intense. Can't overstate its importance as a critical musical document of the 20th century. Sheer pleasure, evokes so many images. And Jon has done so many other recordings that are as good, different, remarkable. If only he was to receive the critical acclaim he deserves....

Pretty experimental album for the time. Glitch styling with plenty of loops on top of each other is very Mille Plateux. Loops are very technish even Carl Craig Domina period. Eastern sounding may put off some listeners as maybe a bit too Middle east sounding but the 2nd side balances it out with some more depth. Overall a pleasent album definitely at home in EG Edition.
