"My Mind Ain't So Open" was originally called "Suddenly Eating Sandwiches." When Devoto left the Buzzcocks there was talk of it being a solo single under that title.
-
As I remeber the single version is very different from the album outtake (not the mix - just re-recorded for the album). More harsh and punkish.

Mario Panciera's "45 Revolutions" book claims that there's a test pressing which includes a different version of the a-side, produced by John Wood rather than Mick Glossop. Anyone (else) ever come across one? (the recording was later included on the band's CD box set)

On our version the credits under the track title are listed as "(H. Devoto/John McCeogh)", does anyone know which version this is?
