Front sleeve text:
"the time is nearer still who's there?", "laughs, insults, derision, incredulity"
Back sleeve text:
"12Ztps01 becomes number 60 in Zang Tuum Tumb's maturing Incidental Series",
"hello", "The Art of Noise have CLOSED UP (Hop)", "elephants are very big", "the art noise have only just begun", "CLOSE-UP is dedicated to Kenneth Williams and J.G. Ballard. ‘Crash on.’ ", "Due to the internal organisation of the musical work, the act of listening to it immobilizes ing time: it catches and unfolds it as one catches and enfolds a cloth flapping in the wind. It follows that by listening to music, and while we are listening to it, we enter a kind of immortality.", "…art of noises, and for which we fight without respite against traditional cowardice"
"Diversions Two shrank into Close (To The Edit) which now blows over into Close-Up. This is the beauty of the incidental."
"Whether you're doing the shopping or falling madly in love - The Art Of Noise makes it all just that much more special!"
Durations do not appear on release.
The number at the end of the main runout string is sometimes faint or only partially impressed, hence "1" may look more like ":" as entered for matrix variant 1.
Some copies came with fold-out poster.

I love all things AON.
As for this 12", "Close Up" is great but the "Hop" version was the one for me. I used to torture my friends with it--especially when the screams begin and persist throughout. -
close-up is still the one and only that shows how away of its time art of noise was in '84...massive percussion, wow!
