I was concerned about how this one would sound given all the negative comments. I say it's pretty darn good. It's not audiophile-level sound but it's good. (Somewhere between 7-8 for sound.) Great music/performance. Incredible really.

Good pressing, quiet and overall good sound, nothing spectacular in of dynamics or separation though

I got my copy during the pandemic. I think it had just gotten reissued then, and mine has no hiss/pops/clicks. So, try and get a newer copy. Sounds great.

Edited 2 years agoNot as bad as people are saying, or I just got lucky and landed a good copy. Very quiet vinyl, with some occasional crackle, but no pops and skips. Little on the quiet end though, definetly crank it. Packaging is absolutely gorgeous, but the records themselves are pretty messed up with superficial scuffs all over both disks, especially the first one. Whatever, as long as it doesn't affect the sound.

My copy came with some of the worst looking pressing flaws I've ever seen on a new record, and one of the sides was missing a label completely. No comment on the sound- although I'd assume terrible- because I returned it immediately.
-
Great cover with thick cardboard stock, but unfortunately, the LPs were quite dirty right out the sleeves, with lots of scuffing. Pops and hiss throughout. Music is great.

This is pressing is good i suppose, the Artwork is beautiful and the packaging was well done, however, there is some occasional surface noise throughout and my copy always skips at least once on old black hen. There is quite a bit of popping on hold on magnolia, which is unfortunate because it really is one of the greatest closers to an album EVER.
Rest in peace, Jason...
