The mix seems to be good but honestly the omnipresent surface noise kept me from getting into it, yes it’s that bad. Plus I didn’t like the order of songs here, it makes no sense to put the Duel of fates first, it should be one of the last songs, according to the rythm of the movie. I think that there is a 2 CD version that is way more respectful to the score.

Based on the reviews, I was afraid this was going to sound terrible but it's actually decent, considering it's a picture disc from 1999. Yes, there is a little surface noise here and there, but it's not THAT bad. I'm very happy with my purchase.

John William’s is beyond incredible. Shame it’s a picture disc from 1999, and such a boring picture too. Might as well have gone with normal black vinyl, at least it’d sound better. Lots of pops and crackles.
