While I much prefer John Hammond's stuff from the '60s (the production gets a little hammy in the 1970s), the production here from Delaney Bramlett is quite good! There's some soul-sounding tinges, but otherwise its blues with a lot of room to fill, and it does, and "I'm Satisfied" ends up having a wide sound that feels very present. Hammond gets a groove going for much of the time, and it's a real treat to listen to when it's running on all cylinders. For my likes, this was Hammond's last great studio album.
