Although there are many cuts by the originators of Goa Trance here that many might enjoy, there is only one cut that really stood out to me: Cut 2-5 Abnormal-Inferno 9. This is a really unique, fun, bouncy, hypnotic track that would be worth the price of the CD alone to me since it doesn't seem to appear on any other discs. Most of the other cuts on this CD are available in many other places, so it is only for the one cut I would purchase this.

Edited 19 years agoFor me, this is indubitably the best of the DG compilations, and perhaps *the* ultimate goa compilation. Every single track here is a classic, even though it contains a few "dark horses". Both CDs start with slower, atmospheric tracks to set the mood, and end with full-on madness to drill your psyche... Expect looong tracks with relatively little melodic variation within the tracks (hypnotic is a fitting word), chock full of 303 lines that go on and on. Even among the dancier tracks BPMs range from 136 (Creative Alternative) to 156 (Space Pussy). My favorite lies among one of the dark horses - the obscure gem 'Pharagonescia - Pharatopic'. This compilation is probably easier to get hold of than Pharagonescia's 12", and well worth it for this track alone. To sum it up: A great collection of melodic acidy goa trance tunes from the absolute heyday of the style.
