This version of the album sounds pretty good to me. I thought most Depeche Mode albums were cut DMM but this one doesn’t seem to have been and the sound benefits from that. I compared it against my blue vinyl German issue which is DMM and this one sounds just a little better to me. Mainly the vocals. I’ve never felt the DMM mastering translated well for Depeche Mode’s vocals. They sound recessed, undefined and kind of shrill in the highs. On this cut, I think the vocals fare a little better and that makes all the difference.
