The darkness emanating from this album are close to infinite. Great artwork by Andreas Marschall who really was able to capture everything this album has to offer musically to deliver one of my favorite artworks in death metal. The production will be considered as garbage by fans of the new surgical production style death metal maybe, but in reality even though it is muddy everything is crystal clear, the guitar tone is terrific, not terrible! The songwriting is outstanding, there is not a single weak song on this album. There is not a single weak entry in Immolation's discography and this album is (almost) as good as it gets. Probably my absolute favorite from one of the best bands the genre has to offer. NO JESUS. NO BEAST 9.5/10

Sick as fuck!! Funny drums, amazing riffs. This albums sounds like nothing that came before it. Most people hate the production but i think it is perfecto! The kick drum sounds like someone throwing a tennis ball at a cardboard box but somehow it sounds incredible. One of the best Death Metal releases of the 90's and THE BEST Immolation album... they lost something special after this one.
