Edited 10 months agoI Bought this record - for "Work me over" (obviously) - back in the day after hearing it on the radio. It is BTW a co-production of Bobby Orlando and Jürgen S. Korduletsch (her former husband, probably current at the time of recording). But not that long ago I realized I had never had played the A-side (and still haven't, I know the song of course by a few other artists). Right now I'm a bit afraid to do so (for fear of liking it ;) and never having played it in more than 40 years).
Come to think of it I have a number of 12"-singles of which I played the B-side (usually once I got to know it, which was after I bought it), but I think this is the only A-side never played (will update if I have anything positive to say about it, but it's rather telling that the comments here are about "Work me over" and the A-side is not mentioned at all. Fun fact: there is also (and rather logical) a release which has reversed the A and B sides (compared to this one) : https://discogs.versitio.com/master/59160-Claudja-Barry-Work-Me-Over -
Back in the day, I never noticed that this was a Bobby Orlando production, but noticing it now, I don't know how it wasn't obvious. It has his signature sound all over it. But it's less cookie-cutter and more serious than much of his work (that's not really meant as a criticism, I like his stuff, but this is much better than some of his later stuff that flew out at a furious pace) and it's still a great song, even four decades later. I hope I've aged half as well!

Work Me Over: If it's possible to play a song so much that the needle cuts through to the other side of the record then this is one of those records. High Nrg classic produced by Bobby Orlando with the great singer Claudia Barry. False ends, grunting, relentless beat. Love it!
