This will be the last FLA album I "blind buy". I don't mind the Delerium elements as another reviewer mentioned and for a Video Game Soundtrack, it's pretty decent - I guess. But the Dubstep shenanigans ruin it for me. A little bit of it here & there would have been ok. However, elements of it are found in almost every track. FLA are one of my favourite artists (all genres & styles included) but the last "good" album for me was "I.E.D." and the last "great" one, "Artificial Soldier". Personally, I'd love to see another guitar-heavy release like "Millennium" & "I.E.D." or even "Hard Wired" - but even heavier! Get Heavy Devy (Devin Townsend) back in there but with his modern sound! Or, and this would by my number one on a wish list: a pure electronic, heavy aggro-techno album like what could have been done with "Plasticity". I still have dreams about what that Single could have spawned!

Taking this for what it is - a video game OST - it's really quite remarkable when compared to other current-gen console game soundtracks. As far as I know this is FLA's only incursion into the video game market and they've done extremely well when compared to some of the more famous and experienced composers. I can only give it the highest rating in that regard. As far as being a Front Line Assembly album, I would not recommend it as being something a new listener should check out because it only slightly touches on who they are and what they've accomplished - not to mention there's hints of dubstep in here that FLA has previously not utilized.

Edited 12 years agoWell, I was much anticipating, as always, the new F.L.A. album. What is this ? Delerium or F.L.A. ?? More the former than the latter....
Lush strings, angelic choruses, sad & pretty melodies, barely any vocals to speak of and absolutely no edge or punch to it whatsoever......
I would even deign to describe this as 'new age music' (a somewhat vapid genre I tend to avoid).
Very, very disappointed fan here.
