The best mastering / pressing of one of the very best pop albums ever made. It’s perfect, the sound is crisp and clear and there is plenty of bass where it’s needed and the whole sound is shimmering digital smoothness (it was a digitally recorded album by the way) not to mention that the volume level throughout doesn’t feel compressed or overbearing as the remasters do and the stereo image is immaculate, I know some might disagree but when comparing this to a original uk or us cd pressing that supposedly all come from the same master tape this cd just has a better blend of the instruments and vocals they feel more flowing and weave nicely around one another without anything feeling too isolated by being hard panned to one stereo channel or another if you know what I mean, for example their is a gliding synth part in the song monkey that is on the left stereo channel and on the uk cd it feels like it’s hard panned whereas on this one it feels like it starts on the left stereo channel and pans to the centre of the stereo image as the sound decays. Little things like this just make the album feel more alive to me and that is why I recommend anyone who is a fan to try and pick up a copy of it. Bonus highlights include the two b sides that are the radio edit version of the hard day remix and a last request aka I Want Your sex part 3. FYI I Want Your Sex also sounds at its best on this cd and is a major improvement from how it is on the vinyl copies of the album where they have had to compress it for the time constraints of that medium.

Probably the best version - the dynamic range is excellent and sound is far better than the reissue. A classic and a must have for George Michael's fan
