This is classic of the wax trax era. FLA and Klinik are a good match and maybe even tames some of the Cheese from Bill Leeb. Kind of hard to believe they didn't include Deceit on the vinyl version. To bad the vinyl sounds vastly superior to the CD in my opinion as do most of the Wax Trax releases from back in the day.

Edited 18 years agoGrinding Into Emptiness contains the most blatant snare drums in Bill Leeb's long and sordid history with the instrument so by that fact alone I have to leave some comment on it. I'm serious, they get center stage even above the vocals. But who really cares what Leeb is saying anyway. The first half of this album kicks ass for those of you with nostalgic EBM tendencies. Especially "Deceit" gets the rivethead out in all of us. Unfortunately the album gets somewhat lost in forgettable downtempo and ambient tangents, but at least it's not textbook EBM all the way through.
