Metallica made 3 fast Metel Albums. This was the first after the tragic death of Cliff Burton.
As so the Bass of new Boy Jason Newstead is almost wiped out of the mix..
Still 'One' is an epic track. This showed the and were ready for the big Time. -

The old 836062-2 with the old matrix is not remastered. //
000025ZVKX3 - Vertigo - Ride the Lightning CD - Same thing. Secretly remastered when compared to the 1989 LP. //
The Non-Remasters of Kill 'em all, Ride the lightning, Master of Puppets are before 1995 on the used market only.
The remasters of 1995, the re-remasters of 2016, and the re-remaster of 2017 all do not have the brutal tight middle.
All physical presses were compared side by side with A-B switch. (Reverb, loudness war, deaf, less brutal, less violent, less tight middle).

Great album. first album to include new member Jason Newstead on bass. Production on this album is shit. Real tinny sound with no bass definition. Souds like it was recorded in a match box. Still.. this album has to go down as a true metal album of all time. 3/5
