Edited 12 years agoAs for "Midnight Shift",
just compared "Erotic Drum Band - Love Disco Style (Remix)" with the version on #1252457 "Erotic Drum Band, The* – The Collection" ... and on the Unidisc release the track has a so nice warmer sound with pump.
I really wouldn't report it if the difference would be so huge! How can all this happen?
Technical info (not needed for this comparison): DR09; RMS-11.48; Peak-1.20 (this) vs. DR12; RMS-14.04; Peak-0.10 (#1252457) (DR = Dynamic Range). (Note: A higher DR or RMS does NOT mean that it sounds better, it's just a big indicator.)
So much great work for the compilations and ...
A flat transfer (except technical repairs) from master tapes would be REALLY appreciated by all collectors who know how it should sound (e.g. have the vinyls in the cellar - as I have).
