Edited 8 years agoGillian Welch and David Rawlings - post-graduation this stripped down Americana duo moved to Nashville where a few years later, they laid down the tracks for their first album, Revival. Welch and Rawlings were courted by producer T-Bone Burnett, whose creative interest left the duo with unlimited artistic license. The result is an album that brilliantly exhibits the raw and deceptively simplistic vocals, musicianship, and songwriting - where voids lay bare lyrics, often dark and introspective. Album highlights are: Anabelle, Tear My Stillhouse Down, and Orphan Girl. -
She has good songs and I like her guitar playing. Really nice! I feel like a fucking idiot for pas on a free tape of her awhile ago.
