I don't own this or any of these remasters yet, but I've heard rumors of skipping. Has anyone experienced it on these releases?
Thanks in advance. -
I've been a Beatles fan since I was 16 years old in 1963. Being a Canadian my album experiences were UK releases. I just had my first taste of the US Capitol releases. Amazon just delivered "Meet The Beatles", "The Beatles Second Album", and "Something New". And I just listened to "Meet The Beatles".
This mono release is absolutely awesome!! The disc is flat as a pancake and perfectly clean right out of the box. There's no surface noise at all, the packaging is dead on, and my VSS 3 mil liner fits perfectly.
The sound is incredible. I don't see how anyone could expect anything better. What an absolute treat. An absolute treasure! Highly recommended for sure. I have a very strong feeling, that the other two records will prove to be just as impressive. -
This is one of those remasters that make you never spin the original again. It is cut hot but carefully hot and with very nice coloration which favors the primitive Lo-Fi recording. It triggers me to figure out how the other titles sound so I may end up buying some more

Thoughtfully-constructed product in beautiful packaging. Really fun listen and cut hot! Please cut everything hot!
I find myself listening to the ‘24 ‘64 mono LPs as much as the ‘14 mono LPs -
Buyed it recently and, just as i opened it, it was warped. Apart from the packaging and sound, that's the only issue.

Edited 5 months ago-Dead quiet vinyl, with no pops, cracks or noise inbetween tracks.
-Record came in a poly-lined inner sleeve and I did not even have to clean it before playing it.
-Great mastering and sound quality - even if it’s not UK Beatles, it’s a great “alternative” sound and it was carefully mastered using a AAA process.
-In the end, this does not feel like a cash grab at all. For its price and quality, it’s more than a welcome addition in your collection - especially if you were always curious about how the Capitol mixes sounded, or if you are looking for “cheap”early Beatles on Mono (and would like dead-quiet, new records) without breaking the bank for the Mono UK pressings released last decade.
**Beware this is a hot pressing, so if you have a misaligned cartridge it might jump around/skip. But it played wonderfully on my AT VM95ML, so before blaming the pressing quality make sure yout setup is correctly configured** -
Compares very favorably to a '64 LA mono pressing, in fact has a bit more of everything. Extremely quiet vinyl straight from the factory sleeve.

Have to disagree with the reviews on here, I’m sure this sounds as good as it can but this sounds terrible. After listening to this it made me happy that I didn’t invest in the box set. I’m a huge Beatles fan and again I have no doubt this sounds better than the US originals but wow, completely disappointed. I’ll stick to the UK mixes.
-
wow, this album is hot ! I’ve always thought of these early songs as just really good popish rockers, but my god this kicks you in the teeth right from the start !
