Quick questions : Infinite Wheel "Digi Out" - full version on this LP @ 10+ minutes?
And is Side B mixed as stated below, leaving Side A unmixed?
Thanks

I've had this compilation on CD since the original release. Thought there were no mixed transitions on the album like on the disc. Unfortunately the B-side is mixed. Too bad. Soundwise the LP is otherwise very good for the length of the 11 tracks.

Edited one year agoI just ordered this record and will comment on its sound quality once received. The runtime on both sides does concern me a bit, but as others have stated, the music is great! I particularly like Infinite Wheel's 'Digi Out' (swirling, laissez-faire tribal/mystical vibes) and Aphex Twin's remix of 'Zeroes and Ones' (dark ambient gem).
Update: Ummm ... I have no idea what those who negatively reviewed the sound quality of this release were thinking. My copy sounds perfectly clean, clear, and warm, like vinyl should. Only potential beef is it's a bit on the quiet side. However, with the 35 and 37 minute runtimes per side, I'd expect the volume to suffer some.
Maybe y'all had some wack copies. Sounds perfect to me. And again, the music is mint! -
Sorry but....Absolute Bollocks..!! The vinyl sounds as vinyl should,..warm and sensuous and perhaps with some analogue crickles and crackles...and maybe not with the clinical sound of CD, but........

Great music but the cassette and cd sound better. Honestly. I sold both of those formats and kept the vinyl which was a mistake.

35 minutes on side A and 37 on side B?!! Really?? This must be the one occasion where the CD sounds better than the LP.
It must sound awful as it isn't "possible" to cram that much music onto a LP / 12".
Or maybe it's a SACD or a BluRay vinyl?? -
