Might be nice for a newbie, but my German first press sounds much much better. Even with a few crackles here and there. This is low in volume and sounds tame to my ears. The pressing itself is great. No issues with that.
-
phenomenal pressing! vinyl is dead silent and the music is so dynamic. typical pallas pressing. absolute recommended. grab one if you can.
ps: wow wow wow wow wow wow. -

It is absolutely beautiful, and the sound quality is excellent. In particular, the balance between low and high notes is good.

I've done a comparison. All these new pressings are 4dB lower cut than the 2009 reissues. I also find them poorly pressed. Many are edge-warped, pops and clicks, rough edges on the vinyl themselves. The 2009 are more meaty. The bass is lacking on these.
Equipment: Rega RP40 with Ania Pro. Rega Aria Mk3 RIAA, Mackie MS1202VLZPro mixer, and a pair of Genelec 8361A studio monitors. -
This Hellfire Orange/Red merge vinyl looks fantastic and sounds great. It was pressed at Pallas and comes with 2 very nice hypestickers and an unique insert. I added the poly innersleeve myself.
-
Mixed feelings on this one. The colour pressing is very nice, fits the theme of the album title and does look very impressive compared to most of these coloured pressings that are cropping up nowadays. A quick listen to side one on my lunch break and this sounds great, not outstanding and certainly not a definitive copy but satisfactory with good dynamics.
The downsides are the flimsy inner sleeve, completely pointless/basic "exclusive print" and the thin inner paper sleeve [had hoped for a poly sleeve].
This also unsurprisingly uses the 2003 remaster, which I don't dislike but just thought I'd confirm this as it was speculated when these pressings were announced.
