I was very dismissive of this when it first came out. I only really listened to the remastered CDs that came with it. But recent I’ve gone back and I really love it. There’s some lovely re-recordings. I even like the re-recording of The Sensual World, my favourite Kate Bush track of all time.

This is a fantastic version to get because it comes with the remastered "Red Shoes" - which needs to be released on VINYL!!! (but only by someone who knows how to press vinyl properly…hard task these days it seems). The book format the 3 CDs are housed in is also very nice. "Director's Cut" on vinyl wins best Kate presentation award ever! The large booklet is stunning. Extravagant even. Vinyl has bits of distortion here and there, nothing major. I would recommend the vinyl over just the lone CD.

Now that I finally heard "Flower Of The Mountain" I understand why Joyce's family said no!!! back in '89.
It is the ugliest thing Bush ever tried to do.Words do not fit anywhere on the song.her version is best.little does she know.
