Has anyone had any luck with the recent cheap copies actually being the red + orange version? Like are they labeled correctly or are these just being mixed up with the standard black release since they have the same bar code?

It isn't terrible, but my copy is kinda compressed sounding, as if it were taken from a mid-quality MP3 or something.

Found a copy of this today, it sounds great to me except for maybe a slight sibilance issue and I found that it skips in two determined places in Coffee’s for Closers and one spot in What a Catch, Donnie no matter how much I clean it. Another comment here says that there is no difference than the CD, and I agree with that. As much as I like that it’s still great quality, there really is no added fidelity to it being on vinyl. My copy has the correct songs pressed on all four sides as well, just to note.
EDIT: Just found out the reason for the skips, the runout groove markings go into the actual tracks, this is hilarious lol -
I got a copy of this record and the A-side is pressed on both sides of disc 1, and it seems others have the opposite problem (side B pressed on both sides) so maybe there's a problem at the manufacturer? In any case, should I hold on to this copy like it's a rare treasure or is it more suited for decor at this point?

Utterly terrible sounding pressing. Actually all of FOB's vinyl pressings are. The vocals are distorted from the start of the record, when it gets to the inner grooves, my ears start bleeding. (Pro-Ject RPM-1 2M RED)

Mine has on the back side the lettering from right to left, instead of normal reading from the left to the right, anyone else has that the same way?
-
Disks sound exactly like the CD. This is an awesome package, but there is no extra fidelity to be had here.

These records don't even fit on my turntable's spindle, I have to push them down. I just keep them for show now, there's no point in breaking either them or my turntable (Technics SL-B100)

Edited 9 years agoMy copy of this does not play the songs listed for side A. Instead, side A plays the same songs that are listed are side B. Overall the quality is okay, not the best. On the song Headfirst Slide... there sounds like a weird hiss playing constantly as long as the guitar is going, when the guitar stops playing at moments so does the hissing. It's not too loud, but it's one of those things that once you hear it, you cannot unhear it and enjoy the song as much.
