just rediscovered this LP and snapped it up for an DJ set I'm doing- it's a tremendous combination of funk, psych and Bollywood music. A lot of the music sounds pretty futuristic for the time it's made- shades of garage rock, funk and intense drum and guitar sounds. a lot of the tracks pull no punches with how heavy they are in that department particularly the entries from Kalyanji Anandji. a must for the inexperienced ears of the 60s Indian music output or an appreciator of these beloved soundtracks. -
If buying one of these sealed just be weary that the first disc may have a light warp because of the booklet. Great compilation though.
